The calendar consists of historical and/or pretty places around Franklin, Fulton, and Cumberland Co.’s. There were very specific places I had to travel too, and I actually discovered a lot of new places I’ve never been before. It was all around a great experience!

Locations are as follows: Franklin Co Historical Society, Tayamentasachta, Dykeman Pond, Renfrew Museum and Park, Burnt Cabins Grist Mill, Chambers Fort Park, Local Landscape of Fulton Co, Mont Alto Emmanuel Chapel, Fulton House, Children’s Lake, Norlo Park, Two Mile House.

Becka was so much fun, easy to get along with, so sweet, so kind. And that smile! That smile made my camera HAPPY! Thanks Becka for allowing me to capture your inside and out beauty!

These kids are a riot and crack me up. I always have a good time trying my absolute hardest to get them to be my friend and smile for me. They don’t make my job easy, but it’s VERY rewarding if/when it happens! The effort is worth it, and I always have a good time with them!

She was so sweet and gorgeous!!! I love all her freckles and think they are just so beautiful! I also finally met the mom of the group, Missy, who just cracked me up the whole time. Missy is a riot and it was so entertaining and hilarious to spend an hour with her. This was a really fun shoot with a lot of laughs and some gorgeous photos.

I hate snow. I hate hate hate snow. I don’t enjoy being cold, or shoveling, or driving in the snow, or even playing in the snow. And it snowed today. IN OCTOBER!!!! I remember, as a kid, when it snowed on Halloween. Even getting a huge bag of candy didn’t make snow okay. I just throw my fists up in the air with a big “Grrrr!!” to the snow. We’re not friends. 

So, like I was saying, it snowed. And I realized I have sessions I haven’t blogged from when it was nice and warm and sunny and pleasant outside. So tonight I am sharing one of those with you to enjoy. And for me to remember the warm times. :)

You guys are all familiar with the Schlotterbeck’s and their presence on my blog. They asked me to take pictures of Nicholas’s first day of school. Like I said in my Sneak Peek, I was more than thrilled. I love photographing this family. They are all so gorgeous and super photogenic, which makes my job really easy! I know it’s two months later, and Nicholas is an old pro at his school career now, but it would be a shame to not share these with you, even if they are super late. C’mon guys, you know how I am with blogging!! And besides, it’s still that reminder of a time without coats, gloves, scarves, and boots! It’s gonna be a long winter…….

She has the bluest of blue eyes I’ve ever seen, and I was thrilled to photograph them. You might even be thinking, ‘Wow, Ashleigh, you shouldn’t “pop” her eyes in editing so much, it just looks unreal and fake, and that trick is way overdone” Well, let me just say this folks… I didn’t TOUCH her eyes in post. Not even a little. Sure, I edited the picture, like I normally do, but Erin’s eye just shone threw in every picture!! Can anyone say GORGEOUS?!

Erin is actually just as beautiful a person inside as out. She is so sweet and smiley and kind. She was up for anything and happy about it all. It truly was a joy. Her mom and sister came to her shoot too, and they were ALL incredible people to surround myself with for the hour or so this shoot took. She was a beautiful model, and did everything I asked of her, and more! She brought her game to the table! It was a great night and an easy shoot!!! I was lucky to take her picture!

I am blessed because I feel lucky all the time to take the pictures I do.

A few weeks ago, I took some pictures of the Big Oak Cafe for the guys down at Cross and Crown who are redesigning their website. I was super excited about it, and can’t wait to see them on the new website. …….in the eye of the beholder……only skin deep……found in every little thing……loving yourself……not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart……eternity gazing at itself in a mirror……an experience, nothing else. It is not a fixed pattern or an arrangement of features. It is something felt, a glow or a communicated sense of fineness……a beast……relative……truly about the what’s on the inside, not the outside…… Simplicity……Fleeting……everywhere……God……like the fleeting joys of this world. Here one moment then gone the next as we become absorbed in the next carnal pleasures of our soul……the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit is of great worth in God’s sight……family……Really knowing God……you……The glory of God shining through creation……

So with that being said, it’s been sunny a lot these past few weeks and I didn’t get many of my April goals accomplished. FAIL! But May is a new month and I won’t allow myself to get discouraged. There’s gonna be alot of roll over goals, but that’s ok. Maybe I’ll just have to throw in a goal or two involving being out in the sunshine more.

-Spend more time outdoors in the sun ; )

- Shoot twice in United.

- Paint the stripes in Chloe’s room (yep, a rollover goal for sure!)

- Vacuum, bucket and mop my floors ,and dust. (another rollover)

-Shoot Amy and Mark’s wedding and not throw up from nerves.

- Purchase the 70-200mm 2.8L IS…OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-Have a fabulous time capturing and celebrating Andrea and Adam becoming Mr. & Mrs. Swisher! May 29^th!!!

- Take pictures of someone just for fun. Any takers?

- Drink more Vitamin Water. Man that stuff is GOOD! And I’m told it’s good for you.

-Play my guitar! Bring it home and actually get it out of the case and play. I did this last month pretty consistently, and loved playing. I loved how my fingertips started peeling from the calluses. I want to get back into that again.

- Go to a movie. In a theater. Maybe even on a Friday. Look out!

- Wear more colors. Someone told me I wear too much black and gray. So I’ll try branching out this month.

- Make more playlists on my Ipod.

- Did I say something already about enjoying sunshine? Well, either way, enjoy the SUN!
