Meet the Fray Family. This is yet another very delayed blog post I forgot to post from awhile back. Look, they’re wearing shorts and t-shirts! Does anyone remember that weather? Ah… to go back to summer…….with sunshine…..and warmth…. ok, ok, back to the blog post! Yes, the Frey Family. These guys were super fun to work with. They were a little nervous at first, but after a few snaps, they were getting more and more comfortable. We went to an old farm house out in Mercersburg, which was so beautiful. I loved going to a new location, and trying to find new shots. It was refreshing and I was so thankful they suggested it!

Dupont Family – Fall 2011

Re meet the Dupont Family. I’ve photographed them a handful of times, and my last blog post was actually these little cutie’s aunt Blair.

These kids are a riot and crack me up. I always have a good time trying my absolute hardest to get them to be my friend and smile for me. They don’t make my job easy, but it’s VERY rewarding if/when it happens! The effort is worth it, and I always have a good time with them!

Nicholas’s First Day

It snowed today. I hate snow. I hate hate hate snow. I don’t enjoy being cold, or shoveling, or driving in the snow, or even playing in the snow. And it snowed today. IN OCTOBER!!!! I remember, as a kid, when it snowed on Halloween. Even getting a huge bag of candy didn’t make snow okay. I just throw my fists up in the air with a big “Grrrr!!” to the snow. We’re not friends.

So, like I was saying, it snowed. And I realized I have sessions I haven’t blogged from when it was nice and warm and sunny and pleasant outside. So tonight I am sharing one of those with you to enjoy. And for me to remember the warm times. :)

You guys are all familiar with the Schlotterbeck’s and their presence on my blog. They asked me to take pictures of Nicholas’s first day of school. Like I said in my Sneak Peek, I was more than thrilled. I love photographing this family. They are all so gorgeous and super photogenic, which makes my job really easy! I know it’s two months later, and Nicholas is an old pro at his school career now, but it would be a shame to not share these with you, even if they are super late. C’mon guys, you know how I am with blogging!! And besides, it’s still that reminder of a time without coats, gloves, scarves, and boots! It’s gonna be a long winter…….

Feldman Family

Meet the Feldman Family, all 13 of them!!! Phew, this was by far the largest family session I have ever had! It was definitely challenging to work with so many people in one shoot, and not have the whole “wedding pose” thing at my disposable. But everyone was really great and nice, and I think it turned out great! Thanks Tammy!! I’m looking forward to our next shoot this month!

Kuhn’s Family

Hi. Remember me? I’m Ashleigh Schwindt of Ashleigh Schwindt Photography and I haven’t blogged in a really really long time. I have so much to share with you guys; I’ve been working on a lot of sessions lately and have a handful to blog.

For today, I will share the Kuhn’s Family with you. This family is BEAUTIFUL. And I had a great time shooting and editing Tim, Lita, and Genevieve. They are really kind people and this was definitely a session that didn’t feel like work. Well, jumping on the trampoline with Genevieve probably wasn’t part of the “photo” session, but whatevs. To make up for my lack of blogging lately, I am sharing A LOT of pics with you. Well, to make up for the lack, and because I have SO many favorite ones, I just couldn’t leave some out! Seriously, aren’t these people just gorgeous?!? I’m pretty sure Lita was a model in a former life :)

Nicholas’s First Day – Sneak Peek!

Oh, Nichols. You always put a smile on my face. ALWAYS.

I can’t describe how honored I felt when my Sara asked me to take pictures of Nicholas on his first day of school. Not only does she trust my photography that much, but I would be a part of a major day in Nicholas’s life. His first day of school!! You only have ONE of those! They are moving to WV this week, and decided to start school with Nick down there instead of him starting here in PA for a few days than transferring. Smart move! So I made a trip out of it and went down to Charles Town to stay at my parents B&B the night before, and just headed over to Martinsburg this morning.

So many thoughts about this morning. 1. Nicholas looked so HANDSOME. He had this super hip purple, blue, and black plaid shirt on, which was tucked into his black jeans, with a cool belt that I’m sure Josh would have worn if it came in his size. He just liked so…..cool. Like a mini adult. Man, I just wanted to hug him all morning. 2. Where did the time go? Oh my. I remember him and Colin being babies together. Like.it.was.yesterday! 3. The Schlotterbeck’s are a great family. In…so many ways. 4. Anna CRACKED me up!! She was posing with the shoulder stance already. Oh my, you better watch out for that one!! 5. My goal is to be BFF’s with Gracie. And……I’m getting there. She MISSED me this afternoon….just saying ;) 6. Again, I was so honored to be a part of their day this morning.

He was a little nervous when I got there. No doubt, big changes, being away from Mom all day, and away from Gracie and Anna. But he seemed excited at the same time. We met at their new house for some pics before school. Technically, everything was perfect, the lighting, the shading on the porch, the backdrop. Emotionally, everything was perfect. Nichols going to his first day of school. Man…..kid, I remember the day you were BORN. Ah!

Nicholas Augustus Schlotterbeck, you will always and forever hold a special place in my heart. No matter how tall you grow, or how old you get. Here’s a small glimpse at this morning!

Megan & Blake

Meet Megan and Blake. This kid was so adorable! Megan contacted me for photos awhile ago because her sister-in-law had her family portraits taken with me last Christmas and summertime. I was really excited about the word of mouth and the fact that Kirsten was happy with my product, she recommended me to her sister-in-law.

We went to Renfrew Park that day, where apparently they were having some sort of anniversary party of the park with live music and BBQ. So for a little bit of our session we had some background music. Probably not the “style” I would have picked if it were up to me, but it was nice nonetheless!

Blake was a doll, Megan was awesome, a good time was had by all!

Andrea and Derek – Sibling Love

I had such a fun time with Andrea and Derek. It had been awhile since I had taken pictures outside before these guys asked me to take photos of them, so it was a joy to get back into the swing of things again. Andrea and her brother Derek wanted to get some pictures taken of them together for their mom’s birthday. What a great present!!! : )

We had a short painless session, and actually got a few where Derek was smiling!! I was told he doesn’t like having his picture taken, but he did a great job, and it was a breeze!!!

Thanks Andrea and Derek!! Andrea, you’re always so beautiful to capture, and hope it wasn’t too bad of an experience for ya Derek, haha!

Andrea and Derek ~ Sneak Peek

It feels like I haven’t blogged forever. Oh wait…….It HAS been forever since I’ve blogged. I guess my feelings are legit!!! So here I am breaking the pattern of unbloggingness with this post. : )

Not going to lie, February was a pretty slow photography month for me. I didn’t take a whole lot of pictures. Weather cancelled a few shoots for me, been working down at the coffee shop a lot, and well, it’s February, hard to be excited about being outside in the freezing cold for 2 hours at a time. Just saying, springtime can’t come soon enough!!!!!

On one of the nice days, I had the great pleasure of taking photographs of Andrea Swisher and her brother Derek. Here is a quick sneak peek of that session. More to come soon!!!
