Workshop5

I’m going on two hours of sleep and about 6 cups of coffee right now. I was so stinkin’ nervous about teaching this workshop, I could not sleep. I saw the hours just pass by during the night. And when I finally fell asleep, the alarm went off very…….very…….abruptly, and loudly might I add, and it was STILL DARK! For those of you who know me well, you know I don’t like to get up when it’s still nighttime. Nope, not for me. But I got up, checked the weather, no rain, got ready and made my way to the workshop.

I drove up to Renfrew Park, trying to talk myself OUT of telling myself I have absolutely nothing to teach these people, I need to ATTEND a workshop instead of teach it, and throwing out all options of “why I couldn’t make it today”.

Turns out, everyone there was really cool, and super nice. The weather and the lighting was…AHHH-o-lific. It was a pretty sweet morning.  I couldn’t have done it without my none-is-more-beautiful model Sara, of course. I think she was as nervous as I was, which selfishly made me feel a little better, but we kept shooting each other looks that screamed, ‘it’s just you and me here’, and ‘we OWN this workshop!’

But I got through it. I don’t know what anyone ELSE walked away with, but I left with fun memories and new friends.

Thank you Antiem Photographic Society for having me, and I’m looking forward to more get togethers in the future!

Ashleigh, you were nervous? It certainly didn’t show! Thanks for coming out and leading us in the workshop, and great kudos to Sarah for putting up with us! I am very sorry I couldn’t stay for the entire shoot, because I would much rather be making photos then setting up a canopy. Thanks again, I know I’m looking for to more.
