Challenge!8

After my TRA: Before and After blogpost, I got a very interesting response.

“…but still Ash, you have to know how to angle the camera, how to pose the people and know how to click just at the right time to even get that before picture……..you have to have a good picture to edit, don’t you?”

Good point Laurie. Yes, a good camera DOES help. Yes, knowing what angle to shoot from DOES help. Yes, knowing how to “pose” or capture people in a flattering way DOES help. So is it even possible to make a point and shoot picture look as good as a professional camera picture? The answer is no. Sorry folks, but no.

Just no.

There are very good reasons why professional photographers don’t use the Sony Cybershot (not a diss, I promise!). The equipment and knowledge we use makes us able to deliver an above average, crisp, clear, beautiful image for your viewing. And that’s just technically speaking….

Sooooooo….what can be done to make a picture taken with a P&S look better? THIS got me thinking..and this is where you come in!

I am asking for you guys to email me ONE picture each. A picture NOT taken with a DSLR; a picture that was taken with a point and shoot camera. I will take the 4 most challenging pictures and try my best to work my magic. Don’t you wanna see if I can do it?

C’mon people, I’m up for a challenge! You’ll have until Thursday, September 24th, 2009 to email me your photos. Please don’t send me cell phone pictures, thumbnail pictures, or just completely blurry pictures, that’s just not even fair. One entry per person please : )

Email me those pictures! ashleigh@ashleighschwindt.com

Here’s an example of a Before and After with a point & shoot picture.

No thumbnails, cell phone pics, or completely blurry unseeable pictures. Other than that, challenge me!

Drats. Why are you being so unfair to us DSLR users? My camera barely qualifies. Come on. Let me submit a picture.
